Trip to the Kobe Takenaka Carpentry Tools Museum

Later this week (Friday 18 Jan) the Grade 3 & 4 learners are taking a trip to explore the Takenaka Carpentry Tool Museum. We have recently begun an Inquiry into the influence of past civilizations on modern societies. Exhibitions like 'A Journey Through History' and 'Tools Around the World' will support our learners to consider the how tools how tools have developed from the past.

We will depart school at 9:15am and return at midday, when the school day will continue as usual. We will have a snack near the museum and lunch will be at school as usual.

Some of these supplies you may already have at home, most of them are easily available from Daiso or Lawson. Learning from home in our virtual classroom

Dear Grade 3 families, We are now completing our first full week of learning online. It has been challenging and exciting and (I think) at times a little confusing. I really, really appreciate all your support as we adjust to our current circumstances. I wanted to say how proud I am of Grade 3 learners. They have shown themselves to be independent and Thinkers. I have seen some truly impressive and insightful work being shared over the past week. I am also impressed at how well and how quickly learners have developed the technology skills required to communicate and succeed in a virtual classroom. Stay stay, stay happy and health. I hope to see everyone again soon.
